Hi, my glow plug light stays on for about 30 sec from startup. Thereafter it flashes on for a millisecond intermittently. My reading suggests a glow plug needs replacing but is this an MOT failure issue?

looks like number 5 plug has had the hex part stripped off it. the core is still intact. is it possible to get this out without removing head or engine
