These Wheels are on my Boat Trailer obviously looked nice when new Typical american chromed styling however they are now very rusty and past their best I want to give them a makeover of some description but without spending a fortune as the trailer is parked up out of sight most of the time and...

Has anyone done anything to prevent this happening, car is 18month old C63s, I've had it 3 weeks, and the bells are going a really nasty shade of rusty brown. Any chance of getting them replaced under warranty or should I just remove the wheels and paint them with HRP. Thanks in advance:)

Last year i painted my old wheel bolts, and there looking pretty tatty now, i was going to buy some more from MB, but im pretty sure they will just go rusty again. Are zinc plated ones any good from the likes of alloywheeldirect etc? i assume proper stainless steel ones arent available?

Just had the car in for some warranty work and I complained about the horrible rusty wheel nuts. They have replaced them FOC for some nice black ones. Only snag is they haven't given me the tool to remove them. Let's see if these rust.
