Hi folks, Have answered the cry for help with the inlaws pc. Seems to have a virus within a file called sysdiag.dll. My pc does not have this file and I'm assuming this is a shell file with a virus within it. Problem is I can't get shot of it. Tried Symatec antivirus and windows defender...

Does anyone use a free anti-virus software and is it any good? The reason I'm asking is several people I know use free ones and swear by them but are they really any good:confused:

Guys Just had notiification of a very nasty computer virus that is circulating. It can cause serious damage to the files on your hard drive if it executes. Unusually this one has come from ireland so its called the Irish virus. Be aware, you have been warned.
