111CDI Heater Fan Switch

Hello all, new 111 CDI owner is wondering why the rotary heater switch does not turn the fan off ever ? Anyone got any ideas ?

Most likely to prevent the interior of the van from misting up. I've never driven with the fan off but I can understand you might want to have it off if you're waiting with the radio on and engine off.

I can only assume the switch is fooked, as usually the main issue with the switch is that speeds go missing due to the resistor pack, I was just pondering whether another control Im not aware of is overiding the on/off switch.
