Love it!

Any idea what sort of MPG that'll do? Or how much weight it'll carry?

It seems like the perfect vehicle for an expedition camper...

EDIT: Looks like the 404 series 'mog does anywhere between 5 and 20mpg... which isn't so bad...

They carry around 2 tonne.
You would be lucky to see 10mpg.
They are extremely slow but easily converted to diesel for similar performance and better mpg.

Will drive up 45 degrees aswell.

THE ultimate 4x4, Love um!

I like this one.

Stop it... I was looking for a Gaz truck not long ago (to convert to an overland thing), until my other half (sensibly) convinced me to get a catC license first...

Now this is just tempting...

I Love these old Unimogs but it would be a toy rather than an overlander. To drive one as far as the Atlas mountains feels like a rtw epic. The diesels don't do much better on fuel and if you think digging a normal 4x4 out of axle deep sand in near 50 degrees c is fun try it with one of these!

But for local work it would be great fun!

I agree with the above, would soon get tired of the fuel consumption, ride, noise, heat and lack of pace.

The more modern one looks like a far better bet in my opinion

That was a bargain for someone
