Selling my "fun car" as I no longer have space for two cars. At 126k miles, this car is in pretty good shape, a pleasure to commute in and take out for fun drives, but not as quiet and relaxing as a modern car for motorway cruising. Some vibrations at speed, wind noise, etc. All stuff I'd imagine could be improved with some investment for anyone so inclined/skilled.
It's a well specced car, that lovely 3.2 litre straight six petrol engine is quiet when appropriate but roars into life around 4k revs where there's a timing change which never fails to make me smile. It has the 5 speed automatic gearbox and returns 30mpg on a tank in my hands.
Equipped with heated seats and electric control on the driver side, it's easy to get comfy. In terms of modification, I have replaced the infra-red remote key lock with a modern system (search for United Auto Security MB124K2) and fitted standard shocks to soften the sport suspension (a matter of taste). I got part way through having an audio system installed, Rainbow speakers, a Blaupunkt amplifier in the boot installed with a Blaupunkt head unit and Parrot bluetooth phone - I never got around to finishing a subwoofer installation, however the amp is installed and ready to accept one.
In terms of maintenance, it's been looked after at Mercedes Specialist garage, had lower suspension arms and bushes at the front replaced in my care and already had the wiring loom replaced before my ownership. Four good Dunlop tyres.
As you'll see from the photos (https://app.box.com/s/m32wnqkayf3qwera6ggif7w7m8b7kftp), it has its share of scrapes and scratches, including the "manual parking sensor" evidence on the bumper... I had the wheels refurbished a while ago, just beginning to show signs of tiredness but still very presentable. I have another spare ready to refurb if needed.
