Due to purchase of a new car I need to move on my trusty 7-seater 210 estate.
It's a 2000/W plate facelift car, in silver with a black, electric/memory 7 seat leather interior with the very rare built-in kids booster seats in the back.
4.3 V8 with tiptronic gearbox.
Has digital climate and all the usual electrics. Dimming, folding, blinking, memory mirrors too. Factory parktronic front/rear.
Currently on 129k and has MOT til March. About 3k miles since last test.
Few tatty bits on this bodywork, but to be honest I've seen far worse for the year. Interior is excellent with no rips, tears or excessive wear.
Has had very little use recently and although starts/runs/drives well has a misfire currently. Suspect a coil pack or leads. Air con holds gas for around 6 months at a time so has a slight leak somewhere but all the climate/heating/blowers etc work fine.
Bearing in mind that the MOT runs out in ~ 3 months and that it'll probably need tyres soon I'm not sure if I can be bothered to look at the misfire / spend any cash on it. It's been 100% reliable and does drive very well so might be worth someone else taking it on ?
Had around £2k spent on it ~ 10k miles back, all new discs/pads, suspension bits etc. Really does drive well - lovely steering/suspension/brakes etc.
I've just bought a 2004 E55 estate - hence the sale.
Has a bit of rust in the usual places - some blistering on the arches/tops of doors etc. Not appalling though. Wheels are pretty good (17-inch MB alloys).
Open to offers. Car is located in Walton-on-Thames, Surrey. If I can't get £500 for it I'll break it or stick it on eBay.
If anyone needs parts - consider this a breaking thread. Post up what you want and I'll work it out.
