2003 270ML W163 Comand TV Tuner

Just bought a 2003 270ML Inspiration - would I be right in thinking the Tv tuner is analogue only?

Almost certainly. What do you see when selecting TV?

Black n white fog. But Im not sure if the tuner is switched on even, or connected? Its under the passenger seat with a million wires, Im thinking of unplugging if analogue and popping a reversing camera on the phono. Also looks like there is a photo splitter behind the glove box.


Should I be able to control it and in theory tune channels from the Comand unit?

I cant tell whats standard kit and what isnt which doesnt help me.

That sounds like you have a tuner but, because analogue TV is all switched off now, no actual channels.

If there was no tuner, i'm sure you'd have a black screen or some error message.

Just pulled it out, Alpine T152. Is that OEM or aftermarket? No DVB labels so assume its of no use.
