MB 300CE-24 Sportline
Hello all,

I am gathering all the parts I need to restore the lower reaches of my 300CE-24 Sportline. The EPC says I need:

A1293511442 Rubber mounting (Rear subframe to frame floor - Sportline only) 2 off
A1243506708 Repair kit (Mounting parts) 1 off

One apparently gets enough for both in the mounting parts.

However, I have read elsewhere that these parts have now been superseded with:

A2023510942 Rubber mounting 2 off
A2029900504 Bolt 2 off
A2023520046 Stop Plate 2 off

Does anyone have any definitive answer to this, please?

My thanks in advance.

Ray,

I've just got the bits to have my Sportline Estate done:

Front Bushes A1243510242,
Subframe Mount Kit A1243506708 ( contains two metal plates and two bolts)

Rear Bushes and metal plates and bolts come as a Repair Kit: A1243500341.

Hope this helps, although I fear it'll just add confusion.

Well my only comment would be that the R129 shares a lot of the W124 underpinnings so the first part nos would make sense. The second set refer to the next generation C class W202- don't know how much they plundered the W124 parts box when designing it?
ps the R129 is a pretty heavy car with that roll bar assembly at the rear so I image any R129 rubber mounts are going to be fairly stiff altho its possible MB has standardised on "one size fits all" mounts by this time. :dk:

Thanks for both inputs. I've decided to go with the EPC recommendations.

But I was thwarted! I landed up ordering:
A2023510942 Rubber mounting 2 off
A2029900504 Bolt 2 off
A2023520046 Stop Plate 2 off

No idea whether they'll fit. Doubtless the chap who gets the renovation job will sort out the problem. I suppose we'll have to order replacement parts if they're no good.

However, I did try searching on Genuine Auto Parts and their site confirmed that A1293511442 had been superseded by A2023510942.

Anyway, we'll see.
