As spotted, the word AFTER the first letter is indeed a palindrome.
Close - however thats not the answer.

The answer is ..........if you take the first letter of each word and move it to the end of the word, it spells the same as before (the same word) but in reverse.
So the palindrome thing was 99% there but you also needed to move the first letter as well.

Now go and test your mates tomorrow at work and see how many of them dont get it right either.

I got it but explain slightly differently.
Remove first letter and the remaining letters form a mirror image if divided in the centre.
