Today in my 209 1.8 I did a 137 mile run of which 60 miles was on a motorway at 70 mph and the remainder on mix of 50 mph + rural A Roads and some town stop start stuff.
Returned home with a figure of 37.4 mpg. Very pleased with that!
Coolant temp steady at approx 82.

My coolant temp is around the 80c. The CLS 90c.

I guess there's lots of factors to consider ambient temp, distance.. saying that the CLS warmed up quicker than the CLK does? Both M272 engines both FMBSH fwiw. Notably better fuel economy in the CLK with a slightly less displacement of 2996cc vs 3498cc same sort of driving style and similar performance.. i guess the weight hindered the CLS.

CLK still going holding off till my second son arrives mid March. Probably a better time to sell to.
