A45 AMG Sound drop out

As the title really - anyone had this ?

Only on USB or CD, not oddly when using the radio.

Every so often the sounds disappears for a few seconds, maybe 5 or 6 then just comes back.

I wondered if it was picking up random spurious signals for Traffic notifications in error - thus the silence ?

1st drop out at 2 secs then at 2 mins ... each for 5-6 seconds

The car is a 2016 Facelift premium model so has Harmon Kardon.

To add to this having just been out again - the music actually stops as opposed to drops out - the CD or USB track stop ... it waits maybe 5 seconds then starts again - thus I am thinking head unit ? You can see it on the timer for each track so a 'stops' as opposed to a 'drops out' ...

May sound far fetched but is it overheating? Do you have it at full whack all the time

No, just normal levels.

It may be worth trying another usb stick and seeing if it still happens.
Edit: just saw it also happens on cd so maybe not.

If it was just the USB I would swallow it ... but sadly not. I have been in contact with MB and they want the car for a full day. As I have only had it 3 weeks they can wait as this is not the end of the world though I want it sorting .... just not yet as I want to enjoy the car not start entering the backwards and forwards to the dealer phase an intermittent little fault tends to start
