Why do I feel like a learner driver again the minute I'm faced with a French underground car park more suited to a Renault 4 or 2CV, complete with helter skelter entrances and exits with 12" kerbs ....".

The CLS did not fair well today and I only have myself to blame for the fact that I now have 2 wheels needing minor refurbishment

Here in Monaco some car parks are quite tight. Goodness knows how a Lamborghini or Ferrari would fair. I guess those in the know give them a wide berth. I now know of 2 that are not simple drive in and drive out .....

What a numpty.

The one underneath of the tunnel is quite good , at least I haven't struggled yesterday !:)

Fontvielle to be avoided ! On holiday ? Great place ......

Felt like I'd won the lottery when I found a parking space in Monaco last week - just outside the Prada store. We later moved to the LaCosta multi story and slotted in between a Veron and a Maserati LC......

Couple of years ago we pulled into a space vacated by a Lambo outside the little ice-cream café just to the left of the Casino. You could just see the looks...common as muck these 107's. Not until the driver jumped out wearing his kilt that is. Ha!

.

Fortunately every night we are valet parked and so it's not a daily concern ....but spaces here are like gold dust, especially near Casino .....

Platinum wheels in Swindon seem a million miles away.

On the plus side, new CLS in October ....

Best find a hotel close to the action and leave the car parked!! Taxi's aren't unreasonable if you need to go further.

As tight as the Monaco car parks are, they're not as bad as the multi-story car park closest to Venice! And the Monaco car parks are free for the first hour too :)
