I've just bought a cheap set of w124 8 hole alloys from fleabay to experiment on (Too much time on my hands at the mo), and already have most of what I need to refurb them.
The one thing I do need to buy is a clear lacquer as they'll be painted.
Looking around online there are various products listed as "Alloy wheel Lacquer" but I can't find any specifics for what makes these products specifically suitable for wheels? and what distinguishes them from regular clear coat.
Has anybody out there used regular clear coat on alloys and can report back whether it's up to the job? also, if anybody has used a specific wheel lacquer any reviews would be welcome.
