Finally! After the 10 month wait my car has arrived. Deserves a new thread me thinks
After all my concerns over colour and interior I ended up settling for the standard red. Honestly, I'm delighted with the result because the dealers Hyacinth Red GT demo was in the showroom yesterday and, under the same light, this Fire Opal looks better on the car. Less orangey/coppery. More red. Quite frankly, I didn't really like any of the other colours enough to pay extra for them apart from the blue and yellow. But the blue didn't have a matching blue-stitched alcantara interior and the yellow....well no colour is worth £11k
It's pretty well spec'd with Premium Pack, Night Package, Dynamic Plus Pack, Ceramic Brakes, Radar Cruise, Sports Seats, Red Belts and the Burmester Surround Sound.
Interior wise, it has the upgraded alcantara interior and dash, which is one of the reasons I didn't spec the Edition 1 (you couldn't spec any interior upgrade with that version ). But I do like the aero kit on the Edition 1 so I was going to just fit that afterwards but now I've seen it, I think I'll just add the side skirts...they finish off the lower sides better, they visually lower the body and they flow naturally from the (matt black) lower rear bumper. You can see in the last photo below where I've temporarily placed a side skirt on the car (ingeniously held in place by a few binders ), IMO the side skirt makes other side seem bare.
Can't pick it up until next Friday as I'm just about to go on holiday but I'm sure it's going to be the best cure ever for the holiday blues when I get back home!
