I have to get a structural survey done on one wall within our house. Got a number of quotes. The cheapest one is £350 inc of vat. That has to work out at about £140 per hour Never again shall I complain about prices. Anyone here with similar exbensive nesessities? (and yeah I cant spell )

Paid 'em nigh on seven hundred quid to buy a flat.
To read a wodge of documents send a few generic search letters and a 20 min face to face meeting to sign on the dotted line. Easy money !

That said, it was fixed price so if there were complications they might have had to earn their fee...


Ohh and yeah... Asbestos removal

Thousands to secure and remove a few suspected wall tiles that had been damaged with an office chair ! Later turned out not to be the nasty variety but had to have the area tented up, air checks and special disposal none the less.
