Anyone in Colchester?

Hi guys

Not sure if I should still call myself a Merc owner but here goes: Both our cars, an A209 and a W211 estate decided to croak within the space of 5 days. I think the A209 has timing issues and the W211's air suspension refused to raise itself this morning. That said, we have owned both cars for 6 years without so much as the regular oil service and some punishing trips to Europe. I really like the W211 and really wanted to reach space shuttle miles on it. I am in Colchester and would like a reference to a competent tech (preferably indy/mobile) with reasonable rates.

Despite various good reviews, he was nothing short of rude and arrogant when i spoke to him on the phone. I later rang me back and left a message to apologise, unfortunately if thats the way he speaks to customers id rather not bother!

Alex is recomended by me, hes always made time and done a good job at a reasaonable rate.

I spoke to Alex on Monday and yesterday. We had a very pleasant conversation. We agreed that we need to probably bin the A209 and repair the W211. I too am sorry that you had a less than positive conversation with him. He came across as a nice and helpful gent. As Alps suggests, he may just have been having one of them days. I will let you know how I get on.

Shame he didnt want to listen to the answer of the question HE asked me! Then to further patronize me! Not a very good way to attract new custom imho, and one i wont repeat. Waterhouse on the other hand were more than happy to help me, As was i to pay my £800 bill.

Hey guys. I managed to get my car into Alex's garage and I cannot recommend him enough. Premium service without the premium charges. Ultra flexible and will explain everything he plans to do to fix your Merc. My S211 has now reached 200,00 and here's to the next 200!
