I have this type of problem:
I planted an engine of a Mercedes c250td '98 (w202) in another car.
I removed both the control asr that the abs, leaving the sensors on the engine and the electrical system connected to the ECU.
The electronic key, the SAM, the ECU, the MAP sensor, are still present.
The engine turns on and off but is (obviously) in recovery mode, and the output power is not total (the turbo pressure stops 0.5bar).
What I want to try to figure out is, how to re-program the ECU in order to avoid detection of the presence / absence of the control units removed
And do not go to the limp mode (recovery)
Could you give me some advice, where you should start to study, or as a tool / SW buy?
