Hello, everyone

I have an audio 20 (not sure what version but I attach a pic and the car is 2005 E280 CDI Classic), Single CD that can't play MP3 songs. Also, I don't have a Bluetooth connection in the car.

I wonder if there is any Aux In, USB or any slots other than the CD slot. I would like to be able to listen to MP3 songs through the car audio system and also to have a hands free phone calls... Is FM transmitter is my only option? Any recommendation for a good one please?

Thank you

I believe you can connect a aux to this unit , but if you have the multi cd changer then it would have to be disconnected , so I was told a few years ago by my me dealer

You can't connect AUX to that one. I'd suggest adding a fiscon (see Mercedes Comand Navigation and Audio Specialists ). This assumes you don't have the phone cradle connector in centre armrest.

This gives you bluetooth phone and bluetooth audio streaming fro the phone.

You could also put mcar in instead and that way have a ipod connection and leave an iPod connected. As audio 20 does not do CD text you have to select music from the iPod though

Thank you, but what about the FM transmitter sold at halfords/maplin for £20-70, cheaper option and doesn't require special installation... Any experience, please?

I have used my FM transmitter with my Ipod. While it works fine once you find a clear frequency, as you drive on your journey other radio stations start to overlap on your chosen selected frequency. I have not found it fully satisfactory, but does do the job.
