Audio 20 Code

Hi
I am going to get an audio 20 radio from a breakers yard as the front on mine is a bit of a mess can I just fit this in place of mine and will it work.
Can someone please tell me if it has to be coded to my car as I have searched and there seems to be conflicting results.

Be careful what Audio 20 you get. If its A Harman Kardan Unit then you have to make sure that its got optic fibre connections. Make sure by removing your that its not optic fibre connections.

Mine was and caused no end of problems having to get it rewired to suit an Alpine Head unit.. incidentally there is no interface between the two... ask me how I know, my installer pulled his hair out trying to find one..

Post your vin and we can check what system it’s fitted with

If its a HK unit (unlikely) it normally says Harmon Kardon on the door speaker grilles and there will be an amp/subwoofer in the boot. The fibre optic cable is normally a bright orange 2 core 'cable' that runs from the amp in the boot to the head unit or multi disc player in the glovebox. Good luck

It appears to be the standard audio system. I cannot see HK or BOSE spec’d.
