I noticed today when I turned on the ignition on my W210 that it pops up a message asking if I want to check the oil level. All very clever but how do you accept this kind offer and tell it yes???

Consulting the manual doesn't disclose the answer, and a random press of all of the buttons only managed to change the language to french :wallbash:

I am sure this is an easy one, what do i do?

There must be one of the buttons on the wheel that corresponds with accepting the oil check? Does this question come up before you´ve started the engine on the first ignition click? Maybe you have to answer yes before you have started it?

I did it the other day, but not on ignition- I navigated through the menu on my w211. I had to navigate to the temp menu- then expand that until you find the oil check- you have to navigate to this menu with the engine off, and then start it. Takes a few minutes to measure.

Prior to that I had been groping around for the dipstick!! Had no idea you could do it automatically! :D

or you may just have to go manually to the engien bay at that point...?
