Location
Back in Mill Hill but sometimes in Skiathos
Car
Gixxer 6, Citroen Berlingo, 911 C4S, Dacia Duster and lots of bicycles.
Wanted to watch the London100 cycling today as a few mates are on it and I was supposed to be participating in it.

In true BBC style I can't watch using the IPlayer because I am not in the UK. I've paid for my annual tv license so do I now get a refund for the weeks I'm not in the UK?

Seems like a bit of a rip off to me.

Hi,
You can also use a Smart DNS - like Unlocator.
Cheers
Steve

Express VPN works with the BBC. It's a pay for jobby, about $70 per year but it' been reliable for me and, of course, advert free, because it's a pay for.

Free Vpn's wont work with BBC

We used to have to use a £2 a month vpn in Saudi as everything was blocked. Problem is iPlayer can sense when a vpn is being used, as can sky and so on

I'm using an iPad. Does that bring problems?

No, makes no difference

I never knew that you could pay weekly, my preference is DD as I can just forget about it.

I'd be cautious about paying weekly and then not paying when on holiday, my suspicion is that you would fall into arrears and enter into a completely timewasting engagement with the licencing people just to save £6. In hindsight I bet a couple of forum members would do just that!
