Blimey, even buying discs is complicated....help sought

Morning all
i am looking to buy front discs and pads for my 2003 CLK 320 convertible.
There seems to be a choice between 288mm and lucas calipers and 300mm discs.
How do I know which I need?

You need to jack up the car and measure the diameter of the disks on it at the moment, and buy the same for the replacements.

Give VIN number to dealer, there not as expensive as you think.

My 270cdi had 300mm on it. Put the reg into Euro's website should narrow it down.

Your datasheet from VIN will tell you whether you have sport pack brakes or not.

If you live near a branch of ECP or a similar supplier, check that they have one in stock and remove a disc from your car and take it there to make an exact comparison before purchasing.
