Can anybody tell me whether this is a standard or aftermarket tint on this '63?

I'm looking at various companies online and their galleries of work they've carried out tinting windows as I'm looking to get mine done, but was wondering if a darker tint has just been slapped on these already blue/mirrored windows you see on higher S-models, or this tint would have been achieved from just ordinary clear glass... :dk:

im not 100% sure, but the effect i think you are trying to achieve is more enhanced on the bentleys

i have been told it is a property in the glass, not so much a film, but i could be wrong and i hope i am wrong, as i love the look

but i am at a dead end on this too

good luck

I have just googled this subject, and there are a good few tinting specialists in the U.K. who now stock blue, green & red tint films.

That looks to me like the infra-red reflective glass used on the S class.
It's not an applied film, but is sandwiched between the two sheets of glass.

+1 that's what it looks like to me.

The windows may still be tinted, but that colour / effect is what the reflective glass looks like.

Yeah, it looked to me like the S-class UV glass, plus a little more tint added.

My car already has anti-UV double glazing from the factory (Audi) and I quite like the look of the blueish S-class UV glass, so was trying to achieve that look but not too sure I can :dk:

The glass reflects infra-red (to keep the car cool). ;)
