Last time I drove round Brands Hatch was in 1997 in BMW 318i and Formula Ford single seater (MK2 Escort in drag basically).

More recently covered one of their car parks in tyre marks from a Drift Experience!

I just had a fairly hefty service bill on the E55K though (£1500) so money not free flowing!

How far in advance to do you have to commit and pay?

Up to a couple of days before probably , unless it gets full that is....

How 'friendly' are these days. I am a talentless idiot when it comes to driving and would be slower on a track in my geriatric 911 than in a fiat panda automatic i expect. I would quite like to try it out though - fear of ridicule usually puts me off....can you hire a brave person to give you pointers?

Or come out with one of us for some sighter laps.. 5 old 911's going so far.. As its open pitlane you can go out and do as many or as few laps as you want .

A combination of ability and nerve by the looks of things most of them were very tentative on the throttle and under braking.

To be fair it was properly slippy , I was waiting for the C63 to hit the gas so I could a lot of the time and was surprised it didnt shoot into the distance when he did, same with the M3 later in another vid .
Whats a C63 coupe weigh? , my 911 is 1140kilo and 278 bhp

Most will be about 1800 kgs once a few options have been thrown at it and 452 bhp so only about 7 bhp per ton difference

it was sold out as only £99 , 63 drivers , not all on at the same time though , plenty of barryboys in the morning spinning off and causing havoc , the afternoon session is always much better.
That vid is part of a 30 min run , did another 20 min vid/run a bit later , never normally run for that long but was enjoying myself too much ..

Tried these for the first time

v powered up

got there early and snagged a pit garage

dirty at the end of the session

then went to the pub..

Shame it's such a short circuit. Bedford is sometimes £99 and offers a more space - though appreciate it doesn't have the heritage of Brands.
