Those considering the C-Class 350e and wanting the £5000 government grant may need to act soon. The government have said that the present grant scheme will be maintained until 50,000 registrations have been reached then new figures apply.
Judging by the report below by the limit may soon be reached.
Alternative Fuel Vehicle registrations: +24.6% in the first half of the year; +17.4% in Q2 | ACEA - European Automobile Manufacturers' Association

In the second quarter of 2015, total alternative fuel vehicle registrations in the EU increased (+17.4%), totalling 143,595. Of these, electric vehicle (EV) registrations significantly grew (+53.0%), rising from 18,024 units in Q2 2014 to 27,575 units in Q2 2015. Demand for new hybrid vehicles (HEV) also increased (+22.6%), totalling 53,443 units. 62,577 new passenger cars in the second quarter (+3.0%) were powered by propane and natural gas.

Looking at the EU’s major markets, the UK saw the largest increase of AFVs registered over the period (+62.4%),
followed by France (+59.7%) and Spain (+58.0%). Among the EFTA countries, demand was primarily driven by Norway (+74.1%), with 11,614 vehicles registered, 77% of which electrically powered.7

But the 50,000 figure stil applies according to your link :)

By far the biggest chunk of funding, some £200 million, will be used to extend the government's current plug-in electric vehicle grant, continuing the £5000 incentive for buying an electric car. The grant has been extended until at least 2017, or until 50,000 electric cars have been sold. The plug-in electric vehicle grant was initially supposed to end in May next year, and offers drivers significant savings on cars like the Nissan Leaf, Renault Zoe and BMW i3. The grant brings the price of an all-electric i3 down from £30,680 down to £25,680
