Bought a c-class 2007 c180k saloon (2001-2007 model) yesterday and went to mothercare to buy a baby car seat only to realise that it does not have isofix. big mistake on my part to assume newest cars all have it as standard.

Major headache especially when 2 maxi-cosi and 1 britax car seats are not compatible with the rear seats due to the angle. The only one that fitted was the silver cross brand which limits our choice of pram etc.

Just wanted to find out if any other c-class owners came across this issue and which car seat you ended up getting? Is it possible to retrofit isofix.

Can you fit these?

We used them in a few cars now and are great, one in each car no phaffing with seat belts etc...

Means you could use Maxi cosi car seat that almost all prams fit. Also in chooseing prams check what your wife can fold / pick up.

We started looking at the lower end multi prams but wife could not pick up...ended up with a pram that with all the 'extras' cost more than my first car... Nearly £1000.

oooh and then with no.2 sprog we bought a new one !!!
