Hi everyone, first post here.

My cars engine warning light went on recently so I took it to my garage and they said that there was a problem with the lambda sensor. Said they could replace it for £400/500 and would also check the fuse/switch/wires to it which usually fail. He mentioned something about them being located under the drivers seat.
Does anyone know how I might check this switch / wire myself as he did indicate the the lambdas were probably fine as the car was driving / responding ok.

Many thanks in advance,
Andy

If your c180 is pre 2002 then you will quite possibly have oil in the wiring harness, very common fault, go to another garage (Mercedes specailist) that are not going to rip you off.

Just a few words of advice.

You have posted the same question in two seperate places, this is not ideal as you may get some people replying to one but not the other and therefore you may miss some relevant answers. I responed to your other post .

Good luck.
