C32 AMG GONE :( -NOW CLK320
Hello the c32 feels like its slipping when accelerating a little hard mostly from 2nd to 3rd gear at about 2-2.5k rpm and when dropping back down .

It's very jerky and when in manual if I go really slow in second then accelerate it jumps / jerks or slips .
Any ideas would be great . Thanks lee

Hi lee

Could be a couple of things.

1 it might be the fluid is a bit low on the gearbox.

2 it might have the valeo radiator fitted to it. Which suffer from leaking coolant internally into the gearbox.

Ok mate so how can I resolve it haha .

I thought it was the intakes that I fitted but I have put back to stock and still the same .

Firstly needs the oil level checking.

Then would need to have the radiator checking to see which one is in it

Ok if the gearbox oil level is ok ,
The second one whats the rough cost for that ?
Cheers andy .

Would be a replacement radiator and then flush out the gearbox. I would have to sit and work it out.

Best thing to do is get fault codes read and also oil level checked first.

Have you had the gearbox remapped as well.

So it's a big job then :(
Do I need to stick it star or can I use another diagnostic reader ?.

I haven't had it done but it may of been done before .

The radiator job is a fairly big job.

I would advise going with star as some generic codes readers dont always pick up all the fault codes.

All the fault codes in there now will be new ones as i deleted all the codes out when i replaced the pump for you.

I can come up to you one day this week if you want as not working at the moment and maybe you could check for me please.
But I will check the oil first if its easy lol.

To check the oil you need a special dipstick available from mercedes lol

Might just be easier to come to me and then i check both fault codes and oil level at the same time.

They all look Sec Air and EGR related

Yes just seen that 2 of them are which we know about already as its not there haha.

The other two are:

4402: The front right wheel speed of the traction system is implausible.

And

4403: The front left wheel speed of the traction system is implausible.

What ever these two mean , they don't seem to be my direct problem yet I don't think tho.

Old thread but i have this same problem, did you get it sorted??? Same symptoms on mine

Would love to know the the cause as i need mine sorting

Thanks:thumb:

^ I'd get your gearbox ECU fault codes read with STAR. Get an indy to do it if you have one.

My old E280 had those symptoms and it was the torque converter. Mine slipped in every gear and got so bad it would just rev and not move. A restart solved the problem for a mile or so, but the damage was done.
