I'm looking to get a spare set of wheels son can do some track action
I know I can run 275 on the stock 19s at the rear but I looking at getting some 18s and wondered if you can go 285 if so what profile ?
    Has anyone done this?
Also what are people track wheel tyre set up?
    235 fronts or wider?
Run the 19s or 18s or even 17s?
Tyre makes for track and drag? Slick or semi slick?

    Many thanks

You could use something like secondhand ex-BTCC Dunlop slick 245/650/18 tyres. They come in Soft / Medium / Hard / Wet.

Or go for something like a 265 / 35 x 18 Yokohama A048. Once warm they will redefine the meaning of grip for you

The Yokohamas have a very square edge so don't go too wide or you may find them fouling bodywork or suspension

Just check the overall circumference is similar to the tyres you normally run

Can you fit a 275 on the back?? I take it a 30 profile??
