Guys, Is there a real possibility German car prices (BMW/Audi/Merc) in UK go up from July as £ value is down so going by exchange rate price might go up..??

I would hope they would wait for the rates to settle down otherwise the prices would fluctuate every day

They would hedge by a few months most probably, otherwise they'd be changing prices by the day. If the £/€ stays as it is though look for increases by September or so.

It all depends when the political class sort themselves out, on both sides really, as uncertainty is also fueled by lack of leadership.

Just wait and see that happens if the EU plays the **** and puts tariffs in place in a couple of years. It could well decimate the MB export market to the UK.

Chances of that are slim IMHO. Political parties get donations from large companies!

Can't see that happening, VW have to pay that big fine don't they!

I don't think we should buy foreign cars any more.

We should cars made in Britain by proper British companies like Nissan and Honda. :)

On the bright side - residuals will improve !!!!

If Europe did decide to ban imports of Euro goods to the UK, our cars would become a rarity, and increase in value, but the chances of that are as slim as getting a Prime Minister that actually cares for the people.

No worries, just buy a 'Made in Britain' Jag. ;)

What makes people think that a price rise has to based in reality- usually just needs a plausable excuse---- which all car manufacturers now have ??

If we drove on the right, they'd all be cheaper...

We'd get better prices for our used cars - they're far dearer in the rest of Europe.
