Change of bade colour ?

Just got 2017 E class , the mercedes badge on bonnet is now black - anyone know significance of the change from silver / blue?

What colour is your car? Perhaps it just suits better.

My CLS55 was black and came with a silver/blue bonnet badge. I changed it to a black one...

I'd assume it's cheaper! I actually prefer the silver/blue ones (like on my MB Leather Key ring), but each to their own!

Just got a c220 coupe and I can confirm a black badge over here too

I thought it was just an update in the company logo; the new models came with a black badge rather than blue now.
