Checked with Assyst, no Valeo radiator in my 2003

I thought all if not most 2003 W211's came with the Valeo Rad?

Once i have picked up the car from the dealer after paying in full, i'll take a look to make sure.

Assyst did a quick VIN check on my new (used) car, and the tech guy told me no.

I second this, my previous W211 was from before 9/2003 and did have Behr too.

Depends what you call "major". I had the standard recall stuff done at the MB workshop. I did not suffer from anything before the recall work except that I remember once getting this "convenience features shut off" message in the middle of my way home. The message went of at restart. Another issue was the lower front ball-joints. There are two parts suppliers, those from the one I had have been changed by a recall also for cars that did not reach the problem (ball joints wear too early, I had first symptoms at about 30 000 km and new parts installed at about 60 000 km, under warranty of course). I'm sure the car must have had something else but nothing significant enough that I would remember now, perhaps that was all.
