Newbie here with a W215 CL 600 BiTurbo.I rescued it recently from Glasgow where it's actualy had a realitivly easy existence ( 2004 reg. with one owner and just 26,000 verified miles).
I shipped it down on the back of a flat bed truck and it's now snugly cosseted in a atmospherically controlled storage facility somewhere in the SouthDowns.Weather permitting it's allowed out at the weekends..

Three weeks into 2002 CL500 ownership, "smitten" just doesn't cover it!
A devotee of all things Sindelfingen since making the "pilgrimage" in Feb '73 mit parents and siblings to buy a new W115 200 sedan, I have also owned a '72 W108 280Se 3.5 sedan since Oct '99, in Stone Pine Green Metallic (DB862) with Parchment MB-Tex (Code 147).
I didn't think the 5 litre uber-coupe would get into my blood so soon but it has - in every way! Brilliant Silver Metallic, with Schwarz leather/Burr walnut trim and that oh-so-nice Active Body Control. High speed stopping and cornering safely are as easy as .. well .. ABC. 170000 km (105000 miles) but everything feels tight, smooth and responsive. No groans, squeaks or groans although I seem to hear an electric motor whirring from behind me occasionally while just driving along, not pressing any buttons. Not sure if this is the boot closing or head rest mechanism or something else.
Does anyone know the correct tyre pressures Front/Rear for the optional 18 inch alloys? The Owner's Manual says 29 Front and 32 Rear for the 17 inch wheels but this needs changing at 18 inches, no?
