CLK 230 Kompressor
Hello everyone,

My name is Joao and I'm from Portugal.
I'm the proud owner of a silver 2000 W208 CLK 230 Kompressor.

It's my first Mercedes. I just got addicted after driving a W210 E 270 CDI and a W163 ML 320.

I bought the car a year ago with about 132k miles. Has manual transmission and everything works just as it should. Since I bought it I've driven 10k miles without any issue. First service done (by me) with minor parts replaced (aged or worn out).

It is a great car, and I'm thinking about some modifications - some I will really do sometime soon, others are just ideas:
- light window tint (around 80% in all windows - mostly to protect the interior from the UVs);
- facelift steering wheel (with commands) and instrument cluster (with LCD);
- 17 inch alloys (maybe) or different 16 inch ones;
- red seat belts;
- LED headlights (will probably replace the headlights also).

Cheers :)

Be careful tinting your two front windows. Not sure on the legality of how much tint is allowed in Portugal, but don't go too dark.
Visibility really is affected after dark.

Yes, I'm aware of that. The idea is to get the 82%, as in 18% black, which is the maximum legal tint before B pillar. This would be in all windows for aesthetics sake, since I'm not a big fan of the contrast of too dark back windows with very light front tint. Thanks!
