Clk rear head rests/rollover bar

Hi, I have a problem with the rear headrests in that they are extended to the limits ie touching the roof in my 2001 Clk 230 convertible and although I have looked on line and in the owners manual to get them down I am having no joy. I have tried the pushing the switch for 8 secs with no luck and there is no room to push an 8mm Allen key down the side as suggested in another reply ,so I would be gratefully for any help in resolving my problem,regards BarrieS

I've had this happen on all three of mine - and on each occasion I popped in to our local Merc garage and they reset them free of charge.

It's a pain, but I'm pleased to know they work.....(!)

Hi again,been onto my nearest Mercedes dealer today and he's not so obliging as yours he wants £40+vat to reset my headrests, so if this Is likely to happen again I shall
