CLK 320 CDI
afternoon all,

I have a 320 cdi on 104K.... full merc history but il be honest, i dont think it stands for much.

So started doing all the service bits, glow plugs, oil and filter, fuel filter, air filter and the general stuff

Im looking at doing the waterpump next, can anyone recommend one?
or anything else to do at the same time??

thanks

I would use the dealer to get a new pump. Some of the aftermarket brands don't seem to last long. Check the condition of any drive belts and hoses whilst you are working in that area.

Febi
SKF
MEYLE
MAGNETI MARELLI

Are all brands i would trust, But yes steer clear of some cheaper alternatives, Gen Mb parts do carry a 2 year Guarantee which is worth remembering.

try mb newcastle

The genuine pumps are outrageously priced. I actually bought one from the dealer out of necessity a few years back and it has SKF stamped on it.

I would go OEM. SKF (obviously!), Valeo, Behr/Hella etc. HEPU make good water pumps too.

I don't rate Meyle parts except for some of the HD suspension bits. Sent loads back.
