Hi, I am thinking of replacing the coolant on my clk 230 as this is probably long overdue. Normally an easy job on my previous cars, I was told of a drain plug on the radiator but cannot see it from on top. I assume its accessible from beneath by removing the sump cover/ guard. Checking on the web apparently the green antifreeze is the one to use. Has anybody tried this?

Del320, Druk, Seven, meldrew or cb1965 will be along to answer shortly...or not, as the case may be. ;)

It ahould be a straight forward job either using the radiator drain or by removing the bottom hose. Removing the sump cover will indeed help with access

You need coolant suitable for aluminium engines.

You are quite amusing and by your posting stats probably a lonely man that needs to get a life...

32,111 posts since July 2003 or about 8 posts a day...
You tend to deflect on the subject matter and post that which fails to contribute.
Perhaps because of your limited knowledge???

Pull up your trousers, give your wrists a rest...

Priceless. :bannana:
