Recently moved into the countryside and need to change the front 2 tyres.

Which group of tyres is best for country lanes? Can get muddy with cars cutting into the verges when it's a tight squeeze with 2 cars passing each other.

Most of my driving is on these type of roads plus single laned A roads. Would rather stick with summer as do get onto the motorway once a week or so.

Honestly, if you're driving carefully, you probably won't tell the difference. If you're worried about coming around the corner to mud on the road, even the best tyres in the world aren't going to save you.

All-season tyres tend to have slightly more aggressive tread patterns to clear water better, work from slightly lower temperatures and make slightly more noise (although technology is getting better).

I used to regularly hack the lanes of Surrey in a Golf GTi shod with Eagle F1s, and they were brilliant in wet and dry.
