Not tale, tail I meant.;)

I've just washed my W212 saloon and after a short drive the back end of the car is filthy again. Seems as if the road dirt is being sucked up back onto the car as you drive. This has never happened to any other car I've had so wonder if it is the design of the car that causes it. The mud flaps do not make any difference either, and I wondered if anyone else had noticed the same.

I can't comment on your model, but I know the slatted design of the rear lights on cars such as 124s, 129s etc is to help prevent the light clusters from getting dirty.

Don't notice it on my W212 I'm afraid. Well, no more than any other car any way.

Washed it to within an inch of it's life about 2 weeks ago and it still looks absolutely gleaming. Drive it every day.

You've got a powerful car there, drive a bit faster so the dirt doesn't catch you up
