Hello all. Just wanted to ask the experts on here before ordering a set of alloys. I believe they do fit but just wanted to make sure before biting the bullet.

Car is C63 W204 59 plate saloon.
Front is 19 x 8.5.
5 x 112.
Offset is 43.

Rears is 19 x 9.5
5 x 112
Offset is 53.

Thanks for your help all.

Chris

Usually on a c class the rear offset is a smaller number than the front.

Thanks for reply. So does that mean it won't fit? Rubbing issues etc. Sorry for the questions. Newbie when it comes to alloys offset etc

Not on a C63.
The correct specs for 19" C63 wheels is Front 8Jx19 ET 45 and the rears 9JX19 ET 54 as shown below

19" AMG V 16-spoke wheels in High Sheen with Middle Himalayas Grey - Alloy Wheels Direct (106454)

Chris......the ET's you quote above are fine but unsure on 8.5j fronts and 9.5j rears being too close to the caliper. You may need a 12mm hubcentric spacer and longer wheel bolts to make them fit.

A C63 owner who has gone for aftermarket wheels in your widths would be better to advise.

Many thanks for your input. If that's the case, will probably play it safe and get some OEM 19'S then.

Hi,

Need some help before ordering a 16" set for winter use on my 2013 S204 C250 CDI 4Matic.

According to the list on OP the correct size offset for my car and 16" wheels are:

16x7 ET43 205/55R16
16x7.5 ET53 225/50R16

The wheels I'd like to buy are:

16x7.5 ET45 215/55R16

Will I have an issue fitting them?

Thanks
Antonis

I fitted a set of 205/55 R16 last winter to my W203 coupe in place of the staggered 225/40 R18/245/35 R18 and they give a softer ride so I've kept them on. Once I've posted 30 messages, the staggered set of alloys will be up on the forum for sale!

I currently have these wheels on my 2014 C Class Coupe (C204)
16" 7Jx16 with 205/55R16 tyres

But I would like to fit these 17" jobbies...

Which are two different sizes - front 7.5Jx17 225/45R17, rear 8.5Jx17 245/40R17.

Can anyone tell me if
- they will fit the existing hubs without sticking proud of the bodywork
- any issues with tyres rubbing at full lock
- any issues with the tyre pressure warning

Thanks :)

I finally got around to fitting these and they seem OK, no rubbing etc but I was surprised to see the difference in weight -

old wheel & tyre - 14.7KG
new wheel & tyre - 20.8 KG (rear)

Although they look much better, I'm concerned about the extra wear on the suspension etc.

Should be no extra wear on suspension as it is supporting the same weight car above, you have only increased the weight below the suspension.

Hi all, after an hour going blind trying to get my head around all this, I throw myself on the mercy of the forum.

We have a 2011 W212 E350 AMG spec. The front are 245/40-18 and the rear are 265/35-18

Having just killed one of the front tyres this evening, and realising that they are all due to die and it's winter here in the highlands, am thinking to get some winter wheels. Sick of mincing about potholes, I want taller sidewalls too.

So what should I go for, in tyre/rim sizes? Will it matter if I get matching sizes all round? as the current staggered ones only differ by 1.6% according to a calculator. Is there anything I need to be aware of when bolting on a set of basic steel rims?

This should be easy, I know...I can program a VCR, but can't get my head around this :)

Hi, looking for some advise please.
I want to fit winter wheels and tyres to my 2014 e-class coupe , looking at the recommended size they seem to be 17 x 7.5 ET45 with 235 x 45 x17 tyres.
Do you think it would be Ok to fit 17 x 7.5 ET47 with 225 x x45 x 17 tyres?
There does not seem to be a great deal of difference to me, but I'm no expert.
I can pick up a set of these for reasonable money, as the genuine coupe sized ones are hard to come by.

Thanks Chris

They will fit without a problem Chris.

Hi AMGeed, thanks for your reply.
I also have the option of 17 x 8 x ET48 with 245 x 45 x 17 tyres
would these be better?
My summer wheels are 18 x 8 x ET45 with 235 x 40 x 18 on the front
18 x 8.5 x ET48 with 255 x 35 x 18 on the rear

Thanks again Chris

They will also fit fine Chris. The ET is within 3mm of your OEM summer wheels.
I'd be inclined to use this set up with the wider tyres.

thanks for your help

Ok guys I think I’ve found a set of wheels but want your expert advice on whether they will fit
Wheel are 17” amg wheels
Fronts are 225/45/17 Et 47
Rears are 245/40/17 et 58
My car is a w204 c class elegance
Will they fit?

Right I’m so sorry for yet another post about wheels! I’ve searched but can’t find the answer! Will 8.5j cls wheels with et34.5 fit on a w204? I know they are 5x112 but the et makes a difference
Thanks

I know - another post about wheels and stuff. I'm picking up a 2016 E350D estate (W212) with 18 inch wheels - 245/40R18 front and 265/35R18 rear. Thinking about winter tyres - although probably for next season now - if I keep the 18s then it appears 245 section tyres can go on front and rear - so all good there. However if I drop down to 17s, will the 17" 8J or 8.5J wheel fit both front and rear of the E350D? The front offset is the same (48) but the rear offset for the 18" wheel is 54.

Thanks - and sorry if its been addressed before.

Ian
