Wonder how much longer state of the art fighters will carry pilots- the technology must be thereabouts now (already in use in form of fly by wire, autopilots, guidance systems etc), freeing performance from the constraint of human tolerance must be a big incentive- so I guess the main problem is ensuring remote control that can't be interfered with or blocked?
