So, I have bit the bullet and put a deposit on this. I went for a drive and it drives fantastic, service history looks good also it has full stamps up to about 100k miles.

A few advisories show up on the MOTs but the seller is going to get everything looked into and will give it a full health check, a new MOT and a 3 month warranty.

It doesn't have keyless go but its very tidy inside for a 52 plate, clearly it was looked after by previous owners. Its facelift with Supercharged engine, auto folding mirrors,BOSE, rear blind, auto lights and all that. Some bubbles on paint but nothing too bad for a 13 year old car.

Both the seller and the car came across as honest, I wouldnt usually buy into a car so quickly. The seller was a former MB specialist for a number of years and moved into his own business and was passionate about Benz cars.

I have scratched the V6 itch with the CLK

That looks a lovely way to get the V8 itch that I am bound to have before I kick the bucket
I bet an old(ish) car with a big engine doesn't break the bank either....

Cheers, its a very (very) tidy example indeed. I usually take much time over a purchase but went to an ATM machine soon after a test drive.

The Lexus has been fantastic but I certainly look forward to many memorable days with this.

The rear tyres btw, absolutely humongus.! could barely feel the width with my hand while checking the threads. 19" they are I think he said.

Dont intend to do anything to it, looks superb the way it is. Drove extremely well, putting the foot down a bit woke up the V8 and it seems to have endless torque. This will laze around town with little or no effort.

The first thing I will most likely do is a full polishing and detailing. Do these cars have rear lip spoilers on the boot?

You can get a rear lip from CKS or if you want to go all out CF (front spoiler and rear diffuser) you can get a CF lip from Euroteck in the states.

I've ordered the front lip and diffuser back in December and should be ready to ship next week - takes a while to get them made and sent but should be worth the wait to update it a good bit!

Is is difficult to put a reverse camera into this? my parking bay is ridiculous where I live.
