Drone from the back of an 84 200T

Hi everyone. Recent convert to all things Merc. I have an 84 200T which is very sound, but has been used for towing heavy gear by the previous owner. There is a drone from the back which sounds like the diff. It is the same whether I am in gear or coasting, so I guess not the propshaft. I have tried the slalom trick to see if it is wheel bearings etc. Any advice appreciated.

Could be the tyres, depending on how loud the drone is.

I've already swapped out the tyres. Reckon its the diff as the first chap said. It's annoying, but the old girl will probably go on for ages before its a problem.....cheers

Andrew if it does become a problem let me know. I have a 200T sat in my drive that I am breaking.
