I have never been to one of these races, but quite fancy going next year.

The calendar for 2003 hasn't been published yet, but this year the DTM came to Donington in May.

I thought I'd put a few links in here so you can do some investigating of your own.

If anyone fancies it, just post your interest and we'll see if we can get a club outing to the race.

Basically -

GTG = (get together) to watch the
AMG  = tuned Mercs (see above) race Audi TTs and Opels
DTM = Deutsche Tourenwagen Masters.

They (DTM) race at about 10 different circuits round Europe, only race in England is at Donington Park.

HTH (= hope this helps)  <img src="http://www.mbclub.co.uk/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':D'>

AMG means the following:
A stand for Aufrecht, the last name for Hans Werner Aufrecht,
and M stand for Melcher, the last name of Erhard Melcher, and G stands for Grobaspach, the city where AMG has been established in Germany. The whole story is that Aufrecht and Melcher established AMG in Grobaspach.

Cheers, <img src="http://www.mbclub.co.uk/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/banana.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':bannana:'>

Keep us all posted Guy, I live near Castle Donnington so might hear locally when it is on.
That machine looks a bit low, not much good on our local speed bumps.
Having driven round CD I don't remember any speed bumps, but their are some undulating sections.
