I mentioned on the MSL Dyno day thread that I'm having the n/s primary cat looked at by the guys at Torqueflow next Sunday. But something happened this morning that does concern me more than a little.

There was a big thunderstorm in Poole this morning and I slowly drove through a huge puddle that filled the road. As I did, the exhaust, which is slightly louder than normal got really loud and drew lots of attention.
Would I be right in thinking that the cool water made the joint which is leaking contract and open up more to let more gases escape causing the increased noise?
The reason I ask is that after parking for 15 minutes and re starting the car, the noise level was back to pre puddle level. Had it expanded again sealing the leak?
Dependant on what Torqueflow find when they inspect it, I may be looking at having to have both primaries gutted and re welded and a map to tun off the EML if the leak cannot easily be rewelded and the cat inside is breaking up:doh:

Imran will sort it and give the best option if there is an issue.

catch you sunday!
