Hi all.
Having a few issues with my C32 at the mo. The dash lights up and throws up a couple of errors & the gearbox goes in to what seems to be a limp mode where it won't change gear. The speedo also goes to zero.
If you pull over & restart the car drives fine for another few days untill it happens again.
Living with it at the mo but it's happening more often.
Having read a few threads I'm going to start by getting the ECU refirbished. Can anyone recommend a good company at all? It has a Eurocharged map so would like a top company if poss.

Cheers. :thumb:

Where are you based? I'd take it to a Benz specialist first for Star diagnostics before spending money on something that may not be the problem.

Try bba-remain phone number 01634 687222.
Have used them before very good service.

Thanks chaps, yes, might get it plugged in 1st. Trouble is, the malfunctions disappear when you restart. It's as if nothing has happened.

Get it on STAR, it could be a gearbox issue, maybe speed sensor on the box which certainly throws up those type issues.

It's had a new box & rad a few yrs ago but will get it on STAR next week. In the mean time It's going in classifieds anyway with the fault declared. Wife won't drive it & it terrifies me TBH. It's quite brutal with 406hp.

One of my cars has 600 bhp and it just feels like too much is never enough:devil:

The fault Code will be kept in the memory, it isn't wiped by the restart.
I had the 'stuck in one gear' low power fault, it was the sensor on speed plate - diagnosed on star, around £400 to fix inc trans fluid and filter change.

Even if you are going to sell it may be worth you getting it fixed to max your sales chance. With an 'undiagnosed' potential issue you may well get bid very low money on it.

....and if you want a good indie in London area, contact WG M-B above - top guys :)

See how it goes. Will deffo get it on STAR this week.
