Eis module repair

W204 owned since new 30000 miles

i have an intermittent key/starting problem, have had it in main dealer and rac but because it is intermittent its difficult to find.

The steering lock works the panel lights come on but nothing from the starter.
The battery is fully charged, everything points to the eis module,

i see on the internet they are a number of companies offering to repair via postal service. Can anyone recommend a company, also can anyone recommend a web site giving instructions for the removal of the module from the dashboard.

do you have starting problems with your spare key?
did you try your spare key to eliminate your EIS starting problems?

maybe you only have prob with one key and the other key works flawless?
if you rule out spare key to work perfect with EIS then it's the other key giving you headaches?

so I have starting problems with my 2016 chrome key.
my key acts like a 5 year old stubborn child.
chrome key is temperamental and starts my car when it feels like it!???!!!

my 1999 original key starts my car 100% everytime where the new style chrome key starts randomly.
I went to the stealership, staff tells me me EIS is worn?!
WTF!?
how can EIS be worn when my old style key starts my car everytime I drive my car.

if EIS was worn out then I should have start problems with both my keyes, the old and the new key!
now I only have prob with the new key not the old one.

do any of you guys have the same mental issue with your keys where the new chrome key starts random and your original key starts your car all the time?
please let me know.
if u found any solution please share.

stealership wanted to sell me a brand new EIS last time for a huge chunk of money.
I don't buy that shiet my EIS is worn when my original 1999 key works flawless.

I had a service done to my car at a specialists shop, I told them to check what's wrong with new chrome key VS old key.
I was told there is NO prob with my EIS nor the original 1999 key, I must have got a chrome key from a bad batch.
Anyone hear about this, bad quality chrome keys?
