Facelift rear lights on on a pre w204

Hi

Can anyone tell me if the facelift rear lights are plug and play on the pre 2011 w204. My rear lights are looking a bit dated and was wondering if it would be possible?

Not quite plug and play. Depends on your W204 reg year.

If pre 59 reg, will need some coding changed under STAR.

If post 59 reg and newer, will need rear lights unit SAM changed to facelift car SAM unit and recoded.

59 reg cars can be hit and miss. Depends on build date.

Literally what Sirius mentioned

Stay clear of the copies of the rear lights, they emit a loud buzzing noise which is never good, and they always fail

The copies of the front headlights however are decent, and they look the bees knees. I had a set (you'll need a prefacelift to facelift halogen cable adaptor from Kabeldaviko in Germany) providing your car has halogens already, not xenon~

Check with Comand as I was going to take mine (also 2010) there to see wether it would really need the new SAM or not, but have decided on new car instead
