Hello everyone,

I have a 2009 E350 cdi coupe and have a problem with the fan running at high speed constantly. As soon as I start the car the fan runs at high speed and only switches off when the car is switched off. It runs at high speed regardless if the weather is hot or cold.

My air con stopped working and the red light started flashing but this started working automatically and the problem with the fan has now started.

This started about 2 weeks ago and I have searched all over the internet to find a solution but have had no joy.

Can someone please shed any light on this??

Any help will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

Get it on a diagnostic machine and check the values of the AC pressure sensor.

Had this before and the value it shows is off the scale, this can put the fan on permanently.

Many thanks for your reply. Can you tell me where the AC sensor is located please?

Probably in the bottom of the condenser, I'd get it checked first though.

If there is any gas left in the system it need to be evacuated before the sensor can be replaced.
